Wooden Spring Sign

The inspiration for this came from Liza at Hoo's Crafty!  I wanted to make sure that the sign was sturdy enough to sit on the fireplace mantel so I picked up a 4x6 at Home Depot and the man was nice enough to cut the 8' board into 2' sections...

The paper is from a DCWV spring stack, the font is cut at 3.5" using Cricut Classic Font, and the butterfly is cut from the birthday cake cartridge, I believe 2.5".  I also embossed the top layer of the butterfly with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and scored down the middle to give it the "flying" effect.

The finished product looks great.  I think the 4x6 is a bit thick- sturdy, but thick.  A 2x4 might have been sufficient.

Thanks for looking- have a good night.

My Joann's Haul

Today starts friends and family weekend at Joann's...an extra 25% off your entire purchase, even sale items.  All scrapbooking supplies are already 40% off and open stock scrapbook paper is on sale 5/$1, so that extra 25% was an extra awesome bonus... Thanks to my favorite cousin I've never met Lisa Chapman and my favorite aunt I've never met, Aunt Roe  :)

The haul!!!

This stack makes me think of my Grandma, he favorite color is lavender.  I sure do love my Grandma, she is one of the greatest people I know!!

DCWV The Guy Stack- The argyle sheet had me sold.

DCWV Tahiti Beach stack.  If you buy the paper, the vacation will come...

I have had my eye on these for weeks...and now I have a TON of paper to fill it up.

Paper files for the Cropper Hoppers

Love the colors in the ice cream social paper... plus 12x12 Kraft card stock

Cool Mint 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock

Cuttlebug folder, foam squares, ink pads, stamps, and my first Tim Holtz ink pads- exciting.

I love socks almost as much as I love scrapbooking supplies :)

I was really shocked to see "colored" vinyl at Joann's.  Normally they have black and white.

that is 60 sheets of paper.

My name is Lisa Chapman and I am a hoarder/collector of scrapbook supplies- my guilty pleasure.  I can justify my "collection" because I actually use it :)
